Artist Statement: What I hate is art with a statement. "This piece is about war, or this piece is about sex and this piece is about politics." I say no to all those things, to me art should be about everything and nothing at the same time.

STORY OF AN ARTIST
Entartete Kunst von Johnathan Clark I am a ARMY afghan war Veteran(OEF) that combined Abstract Expressionism and Collages together as a way of dealing with stress. I chose the name Entartete Kunst meaning degenerate art in German because I lived in Germany for years and its also homage to a nazi exposition on art they dis admired called the Die Ausstellung "Entartete Kunst or Degenerate Art Exhibition. I believe the term fits my work.
